The problems other shops pass on

Specialty Repairs

Troublesome issues, modified and high-performance cars, cosmetic correction and maintenance done to the exact specification.

Short answer

New Speed Automotive takes on specialty repairs: troublesome problems that are hard to diagnose, repairs on modified and high-performance vehicles, fit and finish, cosmetic correction and car care, and maintenance done to the specification a performance car needs, including inspections before and after shows and track days.

When it has to be right

Specialty repairs cover the jobs that need more than a parts swap: problems that keep coming back, cars with modifications, and finishes that deserve proper care.

  1. Troublesome issues

Intermittent noises, vibrations, leaks and drivability problems, including the ones earlier repairs didn't fix.

  2. Modified-car repairs

Repairs on cars with aftermarket parts that other shops won't touch, working with the modifications rather than around them.

  3. Performance maintenance

Correct-spec fluids, high-temperature brake fluid, pad bedding, torque checks, and inspections before and after events.

  4. Fit & finish

Rattles, panel alignment, trim and aftermarket parts that never quite fit.

  5. Cosmetic correction

Paint correction for swirls and light scratches, detailing, interior care and protection.

  6. Car care

The right products, used the right way, with care advice for the finish you have.

Care tips from the team

  • Keep pressure-washer tips well back from paint, panel edges, seals, badges and sensors. Close range can lift paint and force water where it shouldn't go.
  • Wash with clean mitts and two buckets, and dry with clean microfiber, to avoid fine swirl marks.
  • After a track day, check pads, rotors, tire wear and fluid levels before the car goes back on the street.
  • Modified cars deserve a fastener check after the first few hundred miles of a new build.

Questions

Frequently asked

Will you work on a car another shop has modified?

Usually, yes. The team starts by documenting what has been changed, then works with the modifications rather than around them. If earlier work is unsafe, you will be told.

My car has been to other shops and the problem is still there. Can you help?

That is exactly what specialty repairs are for. Bring any previous invoices and describe when the problem happens, so the team can reproduce it and test to the cause.

Do you do general maintenance?

For the cars in the program, yes, with fluids and parts to the correct specification for a performance or modified vehicle. Routine service is usually planned alongside other work through Ignition.

Can you correct paint and restore the finish?

Yes. Cosmetic correction and detailing are part of specialty repairs, from swirl and scratch correction to interior care and protection before a show.
