Automotive technology, diagnosed and integrated
Tech Lab
Modern cars are rolling networks. The Tech Lab finds the real cause, integrates new technology cleanly, and researches better solutions.
Short answer
The Tech Lab is where New Speed Automotive handles automotive technology: diagnostics and live data, electrical and network faults, technology retrofits and integration, driver-assist awareness after modifications, data logging, and research and design of new solutions. Call the Tech Lab at (850) 571-7037.

Modern cars are rolling networks
Dozens of modules talk to each other on every drive. The Tech Lab tests to the real cause, integrates new technology so it works with the factory systems rather than against them, and researches better solutions.
Diagnostics & live data
Scan-tool diagnostics, live data and freeze frames, then testing to the root cause instead of replacing parts on a guess.
Electrical & network faults
Parasitic drains, intermittent faults, module communication problems and wiring repairs made to a proper standard.
Retrofits & integration
Cameras, lighting, audio and infotainment, gauges and trackers, integrated cleanly with the factory electrical system.
Driver-assist awareness
Ride height, wheels, bumpers and glass all affect driver-assist cameras and radar. Calibration is planned into the build when a change needs it.
Data & performance logging
Logging for track days and tuning, and help reading what the data says about the car and the driver.
Research & design
As designers and builders, the team uses the facility to research and design new products and one-off solutions that simplify complex dynamics.
Hybrids and EVs
High-voltage systems need specific training and equipment. Call first and the team will tell you plainly what it takes on.
Questions
Frequently asked
What does a check engine light actually mean?
That a monitored system has reported a fault and stored a trouble code. The code points to a system, not always to a failed part, so the Tech Lab tests to the cause before anything is replaced.
Can you add modern technology to an older car?
Often, yes: cameras, lighting, audio and infotainment, gauges and trackers can be added to many vehicles. The team checks what the car's electrical system can support and integrates it with proper wiring, fusing and mounting.
Why does my battery keep going flat?
Common causes are a weak battery, a charging problem or a parasitic drain: something drawing power with the car off, often an aftermarket accessory. A drain test finds which circuit is responsible.
Do you work on hybrids and electric vehicles?
Ask first. High-voltage systems need specific training and equipment, and the team will tell you plainly what it takes on.
